What will a new roof cost?

Answer three questions. We'll show you the range we'd quote today for a home like yours, based on the 1,140 roofs we've replaced around Austin since 2019.

  • No email needed to see the price.
  • Same prices our estimators use, updated October 2026.
  • Tear-off, permit and cleanup included.
Question 1 of 3How big is your home?

Living area, from your appraisal or the listing.

Question 2 of 3What does the roof look like?

Steep roofs need more safety gear and take longer.

Question 3 of 3What do you want on it?

Prices are installed, per square. A square is 100 sq ft of roof.

From first call to final sweep

Four steps, usually ten days from the inspection to a new roof outside storm season.

  1. Ray Castañeda kneeling on a shingle roof, photographing chalk-circled hail hits with a tablet, tied off to a roof anchor

    Free inspection

    About 45 minutes

Ray or Ana walks the roof and checks the attic. You get photos of everything we see, good and bad.

  2. Ana Castañeda showing shingle samples and a metal panel to a couple at their kitchen table

    Written estimate

    Within 48 hours

Line by line: squares, materials, decking allowance, permit. The price holds 30 days and only moves if you change the job.

  3. Two roofers in harnesses nailing new shingles, downtown Austin and the Capitol dome in the distance

    Install day

    One day for most homes

A crew of six tears off and installs. Big or steep shingle roofs take two days, metal three to five. We cover your plants and keep the driveway open at night.

  4. Roofer rolling a magnetic nail sweeper across a lawn next to a trailer full of old shingles

    Final walk and sweep

    Same afternoon

We run a magnet over the lawn and driveway, walk the property with you and register your manufacturer warranty in your name.

  • Ray found hail damage the first company missed and met our adjuster on the roof. New Class 4 roof in one day, and the yard was cleaner than before they came.

    Melissa R.Circle C Ranch

  • Ana sent the estimate two days after the inspection, with every line explained. The final invoice matched it to the dollar.

    Daniel K.Round Rock

  • After the May storms they were three weeks out, which was hard with a tarp on the roof. Once the crew showed up they finished in a day, and the work is excellent.

Hail just hit your street?

After a big storm, storm chasers from out of town knock on doors for weeks. Check four things before you sign anything.

  • A local address you can visit

Ours is 4412 Freidrich Ln in South Austin, open weekdays from 7 am.

  • No deposit before delivery

You pay nothing until the materials are on your driveway.

  • No offer to cover your deductible

In Texas that offer is illegal, and your contract has to say you pay it.

  • Documents the damage, doesn't negotiate your claim

Texas bars roofers from acting as public adjusters. We document the damage and meet your adjuster.

Questions we get every week

Something else? Call (512) 555-0142, the office picks up from 7 am.

How long does a roof replacement take?

One day for most shingle roofs under 30 squares, two for large or steep ones. Standing-seam metal takes three to five days. We don't start a tear-off if rain is in the forecast.

Do I need to be home?

Only for the inspection and the final walk. On install day we need driveway access and the gate code, if you have one.

Will you work with my insurance company?

Yes. We send a photo report after the inspection and meet your adjuster on the roof. Your insurer decides what's covered, and you pay your deductible. That's Texas law.

Do you ask for a deposit?

No. You pay nothing until the materials are delivered to your driveway. The balance is due after the final walk.

What warranty do I get?

A 10-year workmanship warranty from us, in writing and transferable once if you sell the house, plus the manufacturer's warranty on the shingles or metal, registered in your name.

Can you match my HOA's approved colors?

Yes. We send your HOA the color sheet and wait for written approval before we order anything.

How can I pay?

Check, bank transfer (ACH) or card. Financing is available with approved credit through a third-party lender. Ask us for current terms.
