- One layer torn off down to the decking and hauled away the same day.
- Decking check
- We check every sheet from the deck and the attic. Rotten 4x8 sheets are replaced at $95 each, with photos before and after.
- Underlayment
- Synthetic underlayment over the whole deck, ice-and-water shield in valleys and around every penetration.
- Metal edges
- New drip edge on every eave and rake, new pipe boots, step flashing and counter-flashing.
- Fastening
- Six nails per shingle, the high-wind pattern manufacturers require for their best warranties. Metal panels are 24-gauge steel on concealed clips.
- Ventilation
- Ridge vent sized to your attic, so the shingles don't bake in August.
- Permit
- We pull any permit your city requires and schedule the inspection.
- Cleanup
- Tarps over your plants, magnet sweep of the yard, driveway and curb.
- Warranty
- 10-year workmanship warranty from us, manufacturer warranty registered in your name.
Install day, hour by hour
For a one-story home of about 30 squares in architectural shingles. Metal roofs follow the same order over three to five days.
7:00 am
Crew arrives, tarps go over your plants, the dumpster trailer parks in the driveway.
7:30 am
Tear-off starts on the back slopes, one slope at a time.
8:30 am to noon
Decking repairs and underlayment, slope by slope, so the house is never open to the sky.
Noon to 4:00 pm
Shingles and step flashing go on together. Ridge vent and ridge cap go on last.
4:30 pm
Cleanup and magnet sweep of the lawn, driveway and curb.
5:00 pm
Final walk with Tomás. Questions and photos before the crew leaves.
Paying for it
No deposit until the materials are on your driveway. The balance is due after the final walk. Check, ACH bank transfer or card. Financing available with approved credit through a third-party lender.
